HQ relocation2023Role: Project lead
Two floors, one weekend
Moved a 40-person team into a new headquarters between Friday 6pm and Monday 9am — with every desk, monitor and plant exactly where it belonged.

Completed
The brief
The lease was ending, the new space was ready on paper, and the business could not afford a single lost working day. Leadership wanted the move to be invisible.
What I did
- Mapped every person, desk, monitor and filing cabinet to a numbered floor plan six weeks out.
- Ran a three-vendor tender for movers and IT cabling, then negotiated a fixed weekend rate.
- Issued colour-coded labels and packing kits to each team, with a one-page "how to pack your desk" guide.
- Walked the new space with facilities twice to fix power, access and furniture gaps before day one.
- Set up a Monday-morning welcome: coffee, pastries, floor maps and a help desk by the lifts.
The outcome
On Monday at 9am every workstation was live. The only ticket logged all week was a request for more plants — which I took as a compliment.
